We offer a very professional, and comprehensive stud service, using our one of own resident stud dogs - Ask And Done of Daltdach - Stanley, or Daltdach's Espresso Jeffery - Jeffery (please use the links above to  know more about Stan and Jeffery and to view their pedigrees).

Therefore we have safe secure facilities to board your bitch here with us in our family home for up to the seven days that she is likely to be ready to be mated (we usually ask that the bitch is with us from day 8 of her cycle but will discuss this with you at the time of booking and taylor this to your bitches pacific needs.

We then photograph each successful mating / tie and keep you well informed of what has been happening throughout your dogs stay with us. Over the years we have found this method of having the bitch stay with us much more successful than trying to attempt a mating as soon as two dogs have just met eachother on a pre arraged day or time, as things rarely go to plan and in our experiance it is much better to have both dogs as relaxed and at ease as possible with the situation and eachother. Lastly we bath your dog using 'Pet Head' shampoo and conditioner after the final mating so she is returned to you smelling sweet.

However if you would prefer not to leave your dog with us and would rather arange to visit on a set day and then return for a second mating a couple of days later, this can also be arranged, but we would not routinely advise this method of mating.

We also always check the inbreeding coefficient and health test records of each individual bitch and of any perspective mating and advise you of the result before a mating is agreed. Once a mating has been arranged we will provide you with a copy of this result along with copies of our stud dogs health test results, health test pedigree and three generation pedigree for your reference.

Our stud fee consists of a £150 handling fee (payable when your bitch is brought to us to be mated) and £50 per puppy raised (regardless of whether the puppies are registered or not) which is payable when the pups are three weeks old.

Our stud handling fee will remain the same price regardless of whether or not your dog boards with us or how many matings we achieve during your dogs stay with us.

If no live pups were to result from a mating with either of our stud dogs, we offer a free repeat mating (without the handling charge) on the bitches next season, provided the bitches owner has not changed during that time. However if the mating is sucessful the £50 fee per puppy raised will be payable once the pups reach 3 weeks of age.

As responsible breeders, we like to ensure the welfare of the pups that we are partially responsible for producing and we are also dedicated to ensuring the future of the Boston Terrier as a breed for generations to come, because of this we undertake our stud duties very seriously and will not condone irresponsible or inapropriate breeding practices and therefore will not provide a stud service under any of the circumstances listed below -
 Use of an unregistered Boston bitch.Use of a bitch of any other breed to make a hybrid breed such as a 'BoChi' or a 'Bugg'. Use of a bitch who is over the age of eight or under the age of one year.Use of a bitch who has had four previous litters or who has had two previous C-Sections. Use of a bitch who is not clear of the eye disease - JHC.Use of a bitch that would result in puppies having a inbreeding coefficient of 18% or above as a result of a mating with one of our stud dogs.Use of a bitch with an Individual inbreeding coefficient of 18% or above.We also reserve the right to refuse a mating for whatever reason, should we consider it in our opinion detromental to the health or welfare of either the bitch or the breed.
